"Comida y Comunidad: Making Sustainable Agriculture Education Accessible and Building Community"
Working with the Student Farm, Itzel's project aims to give traditional Latin American crops a space on the Student Farm, as well as to educate the public about their cultural significance and preparation methods. Throughout the school year, she is running workshops with the DavisFood Co-op’s teaching kitchen, to help build comunidad (community) and explain nixtamalization.

"Back40 Native Wildflower Renewal"
In collaboration with the SLLC, SCHA, and the Domes, Jesse's project works to steward the Back40 through clearing the invasive plants, growing native seedlings in the Back40 Greenhouse, and native wildflower renewal.
